📋 Overview

SariTrack is an offline-first inventory and utang tracker for sari-sari store owners in the Philippines. All data you enter is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.

💾 1. Information Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only:

Store name
Customer names and phone numbers
Product names, prices, and stock quantities
Sales records and transaction history
Utang (debt) records and payment history
App settings and preferences (theme, PIN, language)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the backup feature to save it to a location you choose.

🔐 2. Permissions We Request

📷 CAMERA — Barcode Scanning

Used only for scanning product barcodes. We do not capture, store, or transmit any photos or images.

💬 SEND_SMS — Payment Reminders

Used only to send payment reminder messages to your customers at your explicit request. We do not send SMS automatically or without your action.

🔔 POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Local Alerts

Used to notify you about low stock and overdue utang. Notifications are generated locally on your device only.

📁 READ/WRITE STORAGE — Backup & Restore (Android 12 and below)

Used only for the backup and restore feature when you choose to save or load a backup file.

🌐 INTERNET — Google Play Billing only

Used only for Google Play Billing to process in-app purchases. No personal or business data is transmitted over the internet.

Handles in-app purchases and subscription management. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Firebase Crashlytics

Used to collect anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs and improve stability. This may collect device model, Android version, app version, and crash stack traces. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Google ML Kit — Barcode Scanning

Processing is done entirely on-device. No image data is sent to Google.

🤝 5. Data Sharing

We do not share any of your data with third parties. We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to anyone.

🔒 6. PIN Security

If you enable the PIN lock feature, your PIN is never stored in plain text. It is stored as a secure SHA-256 hash with a unique salt on your device only. We cannot access or recover your PIN.

📤 7. Data Backup

The backup feature allows you to save a copy of your database to a location you choose on your device or external storage. This backup is your responsibility. We do not have access to your backup files.

🗑️ 8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all your data at any time by:

Uninstalling the app from your device
Clearing app data from your phone's Settings → Apps → SariTrack → Clear Data

We do not store any of your data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

👨‍👩‍👧 9. Children's Privacy

SariTrack is intended for use by adults who operate sari-sari stores and small businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.

SariTrack complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and applicable data protection laws in the Philippines.

📝 11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
